Atty. Laarnie B. Pocot took up her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) as well as her undergraduate degree in Political Science in the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, Philippines.

She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in April 2015. She served as a Court Attorney at the Court of Appeals, Visayas Station (Cebu) for nearly eight years, starting as a Contractual Court Attorney in the Office of the Hon. Justice Jhosep Lopez (now Supreme Court Justice) in June 2015, until April 2023 as a Court Attorney V in the Office of the Hon. Justice Ronald Suva Tolentino. During her service in the appellate court, she worked closely with Justices in crafting legal decisions and conducting in-depth legal research. This experience sharpened her ability to analyze complex legal issues, apply laws effectively, and produce high-quality legal writing.

In July 2024, she served as a Commercial Legal Counsel for a startup technology company, where she handled contract negotiations of SaaS agreements, supplier and vendor agreements, and various business-related contracts, ensuring smooth transactions in an international setting. She also specializes in data privacy compliance, helping businesses align their strategies with the legal requirements in handling customer data. She has an international privacy credential, i.e., Certified Information Privacy Professional in Europe (CIPP-E), from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), which means that she is part of an elite group of knowledgeable, capable, and dedicated international privacy professionals.
